About Ferme Biopol
Max and Julie dreamed of one day farming the family farm, where Julie grew up. A concrete opportunity to start this business comes by, and Julie, Max and their two young children move into the family house earlier than expected, in June 2014.
Max is from Colombia and completed graduate studies in geology outside Canada. Julie completed graduate studies in agrology also outside Canada – indeed, they met in the Brazilian Amazon.
To try his hand at vegetable farming, Max completed an internship at Les jardins Carya in Senneville in 2014. Thanks to the experience of Ramzy and Alex, this internship represented a great networking opportunity for starting up our farm.
To grow quality organic vegetables for local markets.
To build an ecosystem which generates revenues to pay for our work, provide our family with healthy food as well as a healthy and pleasant living environment.
We are active members of our rural community, and we look forward to playing a role in the development of agrotourism in Ste-Marthe and our region.
